China Builds World's Largest Radio Telescope
China is not to be left
behind when it comes to technology. The country has recently finished coming up
with the world’s largest radio telescope at the moment. This dish will be used for
exploring the space and who knows we might be able to make contact with aliens.
Well, well, let us wait and see what they are going to discover up there.
FAST was built in China's Guizhou
Province, more than 1,240 miles (2,000 kilometers) southwest of Beijing. The
1.2-billion-yuan ($180 million) facility should help scientists learn more
about the universe's early days, detect low-frequency gravitational waves and
hunt for signals that may have been produced by distant alien civilizations,
project officials said.
