How Not To Be a Good Writer

How Not To Be a Good Writer

“It took me fifteen years to discover I had no talent for writing, but I couldn’t give it up because by that time I was too famous.”
– Robert Benchley
Procrastination is the thief of time

You have heard and read a lot about how to be a good writer. I wonder if you have heard of how not to be a good writer. Yes, there are some things that you can follow or do if you do not want to be a good writer. One of them is not practicing every now and then. If you stop practicing writing, your skills will go down and you will lose that writing enthusiasm.

Another thing you can do is to stop reading. Writers are supposed to read because that is where they learn how to write and also get inspiration tips. By simply stopping to read any materials will render your mind to forget about writing. Yet another thing one can do not to be a good writer is to stop thinking creatively. This will render your mind to become blank and you will lack ideas that you can write about. The other thing you can do is to postpone things to do especially the ones concerned with writing. Just start saying I will do that tomorrow and at the end of the day you will come to realize why they say procrastination is the thief of time.
